A huge thank you to Ann Chandler who came down from Maine to give us a presentation of her dolls in boxes. The creativity and workmanship were amazing and inspirational! We’ve all agreed that we’ll never look at little boxes the same way again. Ann gave us tips on how to find boxes of the right style or era for our little dolls, how to customize the boxes and how she documents the contents with short narratives. Ann showed us many examples of little dolls, wardrobes, toys and accessories that she had lovingly crafted or found to fill the boxes.
Ann’s display table started looking like a tree at Christmas and we got to watch her unbox each treasure and tell us about it, then she passed each one around and let us look closely! Here is Ann with one of her petite antique dolls:

Some lucky Dollers even got to continue the fun with Ann in a workshop the next morning.
At the Tuesday meeting, our Janes (and friends) looked lovely dressed in their Halloween finery! We also got to hear a report and see the souvenirs from the Region 15 Conference by the ladies who attended.
A big thanks to everyone who helped make the evening happen and to Jill for taking all these pictures. Click on the thumbnails to see the set on Flickr.com.

December 13 ~ Holiday Party!
The Yangtze River restaurant in Littleton, MA was invaded by about 20 crazy doll ladies last week! Fortunately, they put us in a lovely private room where we could display our dolls dressed in their Christmas Story-themed finery and act totally silly during our Yankee (Doodle) Swap without disturbing anybody. A big thanks to Rosemary for organizing everything so well.
Pictures coming soon!
At the dinner, Claudia, our Philanthropy Chair, collected the donations we all brought for the Santa program at WHEAT. I think we did a fabulous job of putting together an excellent pile of presents for our family to wake up to on Christmas morning!
Thank you for organizing and thank you for the pictures, Claudia!
