About YDD

Yankee Doodle Dollers is a member club of the United Federation of Doll Clubs. You can read a partial history of the club in a document prepared for the club’s 25th anniversary celebration in 2003.

Programs

Our monthly programs are all doll related — slide programs, videos, lectures, group participation, doll costuming and crafting workshops, etc. We try to present a variety of programs that will appeal to collectors of antique dolls, artist dolls and modern dolls.

News

Through our monthly meetings, monthly Doller Holler newsletter and our on-line doll group at YahooGroups, you’ll always know what’s happening in the local doll collecting world. Members also receive the fabulous Doll News quarterly magazine from UFDC.

Fun events

Tea parties, museum visits and doll show field trips are just some of the ways we like to get together and have fun throughout the year. You also have the opportunity to attend the UFDC National Convention as well as Regional Conventions.

Interested in Joining Us?

Membership in UFDC and our club is open to any person at least 18 years of age owning a personal collection of at least ten dolls. We also welcome Junior Collectors who are sponsored by a member and we try to have several events during the year specifically for them.

Contact the membership chair to find out about attending a meeting as a guest and see what we’re all about (and to make sure we’re meeting in our usual time and place). We’re a very friendly and welcoming group with a broad range of collecting interests and expertise. Our members include an award winning one-of-a-kind doll artist, an author of reference books on baby boomer dolls, doll retailers, an expert on 18" vinyl dolls, an auctioneer, and people who just plain love dolls and have a small (or large) collection!
